Waverly Psychiatry is an outpatient psychiatric private practice serving Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Our goal is to deliver evidence-based treatment in a caring, compassionate, and courteous manner.

Syed Asad Bokhari, MD

Syed Asad Bokhari, MD, is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the specialties of Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is also certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the specialty of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Bokhari is licensed to practice medicine in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.

Michelle L. Joy (Jones),
PMHNP-BC

Michelle L. Joy, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Maryland and Virginia. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Frostburg State University and is nationally board-certified.

Linda Ahaghotu,
PMHNP-BC

Linda Ahaghotu, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has extensive experience in providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for a range of mental health disorders.

Services & Fees

Initial evaluation appointments typically last 60–90 minutes.
Follow-up visits focused primarily on medication management usually last 20–30 minutes.
Combined medication and psychotherapy sessions generally last 25–50 minutes.

 

We accept Aetna, CareFirst/BCBS, Evernorth/Cigna, Optum/United Healthcare, Maryland Medicaid, Johns Hopkins, and private pay.
